Traveling used to be in my blood too. But then traveling turned into moving and I got over it.

That's how I started my life. We've moved twice since we were married. The first time an hour away, for DH Dam job... and the second time less than 10 minutes to the new house we built. We will probably move once more, when we can't keep up with our property. It's definitely not in his blood...lol But he does like to get away once in awhile.

Had to count it up, I've moved 9 times in the past 15 years. Way too often for any sane person. Maybe this will be our last, but I'm not betting on it.

I don't know how many times we moved. I know I went to at least 12 different schools, some of them more than once. Probably changed schools 2-3 sometimes more a year.

I hope you get to stay where you are, especially if you really like it there.

It was. I had a different type of education, got to see a lot of places early on. My dad would say, this will be a great place to stay. We learned not to hold our breath and also learned to make friends quick, but it was hard every time we had to leave. I'm so thankful for the stability my husband brought to my life, I needed it. My children definitely had a different upbringing. I also was blessed to have the kind of life my mother always dreamed of living. God is good.

There's something to be said about staying put and having some consistency. You've seen life from both sides (moving around and staying in one place) and that's something not everyone can say. Glad you found your spot!
