The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Now that I am retired, Monday is like every other day.

I do like Friday though! That is popcorn and movie night
Retirement kind of takes the glow off the weekends. It's great that you have a Friday routine to look forward to.

Hi Janie! It is not usual to have air on in October. It was unseasonably warm.

My back was feeling ok and someone scared me at work when I walked into the office this morning. I tweaked it again. I’m a little irritated.
Try a heating pad, DMC.
And carry a cane. You probably won't need it to walk, but you can use it to beat people when they scare you.

Hi Ron, sounds like you're enjoying your retirement :)

That is how it is when you are retired! Friday and Saturday still have a bit of the special feeling they had while still employed! I`ll still take retirement! 🙂

Same here Barry...I'm retired but still enjoy the weekends a bit more. (And definitely, I'll still take retirement!)

I wish I had a heating pad. I’m fresh out of canes too. 😅I hope she learned her lesson. I really like this lady, so I didn’t stay mad long.

You can make a temporary heating pad. Get a kitchen towel wet and put it in a zip lock baggie. Heat it up in the microwave and put it on your back. You should test the heat first, it can get really hot in the microwave.

This works pretty good when times are desperate. It won't last as long as an electric pad heat-wise, but will maybe take the edge off the pain.

Thanks for the suggestion. I may try that out.

I hope you had a safe trip, Rene. Its always a little sad when grandbabies leave for home.
Thank you Janie! We arrived safely. Up at 4:45 tomorrow. I'm going to get a companion pass and go through security to help with the littles until they board the plane.
I know I'm going to cry. I miss them already. I even cried a little when my son headed out with their pickup and utility trailer.
