I agree, thank you. It was a chocolate cake. Cake recipe was from Cake by Courtney. The frosting and filling were not Cake by Courtney. I used a filling made with flour, butter, vanilla, and milk. The frosting was a boiled frosting made with sugar, butter, vanilla, and chocolate chips.

Good morning y'all!
I hope everyone has a great weekend. I have to get busy. I need to get the house ready for our Sunday company.
We took a trip to Collin Street Bakery yesterday. We bought 2 dozen cookies and a couple of cheesecake. They only had two flavors, a white chocolate cheesecake, which we haven't tried, and we also got the key lime, which is wonderful.
I'm going to make a pot of charo beans, regular cornbread and jalapeño cornbread muffins, and a pan of baked macaroni and cheese. The kids are bringing bq meats, coleslaw, green salad and potato salad, chocolate chip cookies and banana pudding. It sounds like an overabundance of food but I'm sure everyone will do their part to polish it off.

Sounds like you all are going to be feasting and having fun!

Hi Barry, hope your Saturday is going great! Are you done with the apple picking?

Hi Debby! We were going to make more cider to freeze... Then the kitchen sink drain decided to plug up! Waiting on water to go down a bit so I can take it apart so I can power snake it! Always something! Around here it`s about like my old job at our local public school system as the Head Maintenance man! One more tree to pick then done picking but tons of processing! I need to have our daughter work on my iphone so I can install the BYC app. That would make it much simpler to send photos for the interview. ( I haven`t forgotten) just very busy! I am sorry it has taken so long to get it to you.
