The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning everyone. Today I get to put on my Vet hat, to treat a sick hen and Trim a wing on an escape artist.
It's also sourdough day! I love baking bread. There's just something so satisfying about feeling the gluten develop, watching it rise and then the real reward, baking and eating it...lol

Good luck with your doctoring, Rene. I hope you cure her. I've never had any luck when it comes to clipping wings. I guess I have good hoppers.
I used to enjoy making bread but Jim is diabetic and its too tempting. And, I have to watch my bread intake because my tummy doesn't get along with it so well. Its generally a special occasion treat for us.

Halloween is just around the corner. What?? Time..flies.

Thank you! Our fence is quite tall, so she will be hard pressed after being clipped, at least I hope so.

Sourdough is pretty much the only bread I eat. Dale has to watch his carb intake also. I don't eat a ton of it. Half a slice, buttered with avocado and I found some amazing pesto, so a little of that on a half slice, with a couple of eggs... yum!

I'm sorry it upsets your stomach. Have you ever tried sprouted bread?
