The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hi Debby, you too! We had a 3 hour early out yesterday. I can’t imagine how awful the day would have been, had it been a full day. We had training at the high school after the kids went home.

I am going to some big craft fair with a friend today. I’m regretting saying yes. She said it is very peopley.😬

Go and have fun, maybe you'll see some new crafty thing you want to try doing yourself or a new home decoration.

I’m going…dragging my feet a little.😆I’ll probably buy but I don’t do crafts.

I miss going to craft fairs, haven't seen any around for probably 20 years or so, at least in the places I've lived. My parents used to do a couple of shows a year out in Denver...dad did woodworking and mom sold her homemade pies. They had a lot of fun selling stuff at them. (And I got some of dad's leftover woodworking stuff!)

Good memories for you. 😊 I went to one a couple years ago with a friend. It was close to home and about 30 vendors. This one is an hour from home and very large.

Good morning to you all!

We had about 35-40 trick or treaters last night, saw some real cute kids (and parents) dressed up. One boy about 10 yrs old told me "hold the candy, can I have a water please?"...guess his costume was way too hot for him. A little girl around 5 shared her witchy laugh with us, she was so cute! It was fun seeing the kids, and we don't have much candy left to tempt us so a successful Halloween Eve.
Good morning Debby! That sounds like fun! We rarely ever get any trick or treaters. Mostly Amish neighbors here in the country! Other that seeing a couple of made up grandkids! 😊

Our countertop is a hard marble. It can etch, so not as hard as granite. They are both stone. Ours is called Fantasy Brown, with a leathered finish. Quartz is a very good product, very durable. Granite is also very durable. Get what you like the looks of. Take care of it and it will last you a lifetime. We did our remodel about 3 years ago. The counter is still just as gorgeous.
We do all of our own work, tile everything. Hubs built a 6 new cabinets and we refinished the original ones we kept. Saved a lot of money, so that enabled us to get this counter.
Good morning, Rene. I was scared of marble! I was afraid it was too high maintenance for me. I was lucky enough to have a brother who sales and installs countertops. I got such a good deal that we were able to put cream bordeux granite on all the countertops in the kitchen and the bathrooms.
