Hi DMC, how is Costco different from Sam's? We don't have a Costco here so no danger of us switching from Sam's, but I'm curious.

Hi Debby. To me it was very similar in what they carry and how things are set up. I buy a Hormel precooked bacon at Sam’s and theirs was a Kirkland brand. I liked the Kirkland better. They had Blueland dishwasher pods which I haven’t seen at Sam’s and I buy off Amazon. They were way cheaper at Costco. Milk was $2.69 a gallon and $3.42 at Sam’s.
I do like that Sam’s has a scan and go, so you can skip the line. I don’t think Costco has that. There was a guy that scanned and counted our items and then you could go to the till and pay. That made no sense to me. If they miss an item you have to redo it. I told him he’d be keeping my stuff. I would go back again.

Hi Rene. We went to Costco with my sister yesterday. We were going to go to Sam’s but I wanted to check Costco out since she has a membership. I think I like it better.

Hi DMC! We really like Costco. Been members there since 1987, when they first opened in our area. Their return policy is top notch and we buy most of our household supplies there. We also spend enough with our executive membership that I don't have have to pay out of pocket for the membership.

Nice! I wish there was one closer to us. The closest is over a 2 hour drive.

We're buying a little at a time. Dale's working on electrical and getting the floor ready for tile and he's putting in a heated floor for us. We hope to go to Portland next week to buy the floor tile. Then after we have the floor finished we will have to make another trip for the wall tile. Trying to pay for it as we go along. Don't want to pay interest on a credit card bill.

From my understanding they will be implementing the scan and go feature, maybe this year.

We go to Costco, it's in our town, so close. When we go through the scan yourself, you can't use cash, card only. Were you paying cash? Maybe that's why you had to go to the cashier?
I have to get my prescriptions there. They accept my military insurance.

It's an hour for us, but it's the town where we do all of our shopping. So glad it's not 2 hours.
