Hi Debby! It's a real thing...lol

We had some downed trees. Copied this from my bee thread.

Our power is out! Wonder how long it will be for the crews to get it back up. Kind of scary for them in this wind.

The high wind gust clocked yesterday at Priest Rapids Dam was 88mph, today was 77.

It finally blew over half of a dead poplar hubs didn't cut down. It's a huge tree, it was leaning and had a split that made it dangerous for him to cut. So we decided to wait for a big wind. I wish the whole tree would have come down. It also took out an evergreen.

We lost a Black Locust, I'm bummed about that one. It's a nectar source for our bees.

This is a fir tree, it's been on its way out. We had propped it up, hoping it would send out better roots, but it finally went all of the way down.

Our brief nice weather is coming to an end. The temps are dropping and by Monday we'll be back in the 30's. I'm taking precautions against the cold and cooking up a big batch of chili today

Hopefully it will only be a short cool down.

Thanks, me too. We only have one large tree close to our house now. It's still strong and healthy.

Good morning everyone! I hope you have a lovely day. I'm just trying to keep from being blown away. We've had high winds 30-45mph with up to 65mph gusts since about 1pm yesterday. I was outside yesterday and had about a 3' tumbleweed slam into me.. what are the odds of that...lol

We’re going to get that kind of wind tonight. I can hear it starting to pick up. There’s talk of a blizzard this weekend.
I was supposed to go to a baby shower on Saturday but they cancelled it due to weather and new mom had gallbladder surgery on Sunday. She just got out of the hospital yesterday. She went in last Friday.
