the no crow collars

hi I'm pleased to be a member of the byc also have a question about the no crow callers I've had them for a couple weeks now one of my roosters is not growing and one of my roosters keeps growing I don't know whether to tighten the collar or loosen the collar I'm open to any ideas

Just curious...how are the collars working for you in terms of quieting your roosters? A lot of people ask about them. Personally, I like the sound of roos crowing, but neighbors don't always feel that way, lol.

For the one that isn't crowing - does he seem uncomfortable with the collar on? I believe if you can slip one finger between his neck and the collar, that it isn't too tight.

By this measure, is the collar on the crowing bird, too loose? Check often if they are still growing, to make sure it doesn't get too tight on them.

yes I like to hear the sound of the rooster crowing also but like you said the neighbors don't like it... Also the rooster that is not growing does seem comfortable... I tightened it on the rooster that was crowing and it did not help
