The no good hen encounter!

Ha! I need to remember that one! THAT'S what she did, too; open beak, bite, twist... I admit, I might have cried

Lol, well I was busy THANKING her!!! Lol I figure she was tired if that thing flapping all the time making noise, lol "SHUT UP YOU DUMB LADY" kind of thing...

Tell ya what, haven't done it since... Much like @jesus freak , lol I learned my lesson

Some lessons are painful, that's the truth.

OMG! That makes my eyes water just thinking about it! My motto is "You only have one set of eyes! Take good care of them!" Seriously, I would go see your doctor if I were you. You don't want to mess with your vision.

I got pecked on the lip once when my hens were really young. I was bent over one talking to her saying what a sweet thing she was, and then, WHAM! No twist, just a peck, but ouch! Have never gotten that close to the business end of my hens since.

They will peck at moles and freckles on my legs in the summer when I have shorts on. If I go out in the yard and don't provide an immediate snack like some sort of snack dispensing walking machine, our Dominiques will sneak up behind me and peck my legs. One time it actually drew blood.

As for dog tongues....eeewwww. Just the thought of getting the tongue from a dog makes me want to throw up into my mouth.

Especially if I picture that along with remembering all the things I witnessed our dog eating when he was alive....rotten animal carcasses, goose poop, turkey poop, horse poop, pretty much any kind of poop.....anything rotten...yech...gag, gag, gag....

Ewww I agree dogs tongues are a nightmare and best kept to themselves! Luckily it is starting to heal, although it is very sore and thank goodness it wasn't closed beak with a twist!!

Open beak even lol!!

We used coconut oil in eyes before, very soothing though it does blur the vision of a time.

My grand baby had a clogged tear duct from birth. We wanted to avoid antibiotics if possible and the CO cleared it up It also nuked any diaper rash she got.
