Indeed! There's this one freshman who will not shut up! And he doesn't listen in class; Señora Eskola (my Spanish teacher) would say something in Spanish, then immediately say it in English and he'll still be all "Whoa! What did you just say?!" .______.

'splain to me linguist. This is interesting. What do you do with all these languages. Are you an interpreter? I'm really just curious as I can barely speak my own English language, sometimes, and struggle with Spanish. Do you teach? Do research?

Well, it's sort of a long-ish to type story
I don't know anyone from Latvia though

Alrighty, here goes:
So one day several years ago, I was at my grandparents' house watching a WWII documentary because I find WWII interesting. The documentary was about the spread of Nazism after the war began. That particular episode was about the Nazism in Latvia. They talked a lot about what happened and such, and all of a sudden they were interviewing an old man from Latvia whom had been there and seen it. He was speaking in Latvian so there were subtitles and all. I had become interested in Latvian, but I wasn't into languages at the time. A year or so late, I took a German class at my school at the time and fell in love with the language. I was the top of my German class at the end of the year. Once the next school year began at a new school, I had realized how much I enjoyed learning languages; I had begun taking a private Russian class with a nearby man. I had/still have a real passion for learning languages. One day, after remembering hearing all that Latvian, I decided "I'm going to learn Latvian." so I made up my mind, but I didn't do anything about it for a long while. About 2 months ago, I had some money, so I bought some language lesson books and audio CD's, including Latvian. So I began learning it just for the shear fun I found in it! I certainly don't speak much Latvian, but I very do love and enjoy it!

I speak them for fun!
I plan on being an official Army Linguist interpreter once I graduate Highschool in a year or so. After several years in the army, I hope to move to Japan (I plan on taking Japanese while at the Defense Language Institute) and become an English teacher. I may not be qualified to be an English teacher because I do not plan to take college, which is required to teach at schools in Japan, so in case I can't, I'll be a business translator in Japan instead.
