to busy to be bored, lol!
In the last few days I've.....
Mowed the grass
moved my pullets in with the hens so they could use the laying boxes
cleaned the little red barn they where in
disenfected the little red barn
cleaned the fan for the little red barn
moved the chicken plucker, garden cart and bicycles into the little red barn for winter storage
Picked some of my apples, I have one tree left to pick
Did laundry Saturday doing more today
picked beans Satruday and again yesterday
Blanched beans both times and now have them in the freeze
canned 12 jars of tomatoes I processed
canned 6 pints of apples for pies
swept several times and vacuumed twice
took out the garbage
sprayed the outside of the house for bugs
stacked wood in the basement, waiting for hubby to cut more so I can haul it in and stack it as well
Make a Dr Appt
went to appt
Make a car appt
Went to that appt as well
Filled out papers and got them sent in
dug up 3 five gallon buckets of potatoes which are now hardening
fixed strawberry cage lids (to keep the squirrels and chipmunks out)
Ordered free ranged beef
rendered 9 pounds of lard
am making soup today
dug up some of my Asparagus and need to transplant them yet
and on top of all that daily chores, cooking and a part time job ( A Behind the Wheel Driving Instructor)

Now that I take a look at the list I think I need to take a nap just from reading it, lol!
I still need to mow the grass again, sigh! At least thats one less chore I'll have once winter hits, lol!

Its going to get worse, and worse, until he will flog and chase and peck you every day. And if you give him away he will just go in the stewpot anyways. Plus, you get a tasty meal to feed a small family for a few days.

my sister got chased by one really nasty rooster once, and my dad took a tomahawk and basically did a drive by with an ax. it was the best chicken I've ever eaten.
