"Aki?" Skyuka howled. "Aki!" She came across the lifeless hunters. "Aki....." she whispered.
she continued sprinting through the woods, following a trail of blood.
"Aki!?" Skyuka called, her voice full of worry as the blood trail became heavier.
Suddenly she camcan to the river, the blood stopped on the bank, she scanned the shore, looking for his trail, any sign of him.
she jumped into the river, the water was cold, she jogged through the water, droplets clinging to her pelt and glinting in the sun. She reached the other bank, she began sniffing the ground, working her way from the bank, she found a faint trail. She raced after it, racing through the forest, small branches ripped into her fur. She smelled a strong scent of Aki ahead, she skidded to a slow walk, she carefully walked through a thick boxwood shrub.....
Aki jerked his head, as bush in front of him rustled, he struggled, kicking blood stained snow everywhere. "Who's there?" He meant his voice to sound threateningending, but it came out hoarse and weak.
"Are you okay?" A voice asked from the shadows.
"Skyuka?" He gasped, as piano washed over his body.
"No." The voice said, stepping from the shadows... the sun revealed a large gray, male, wolf.
Aki tried to snarl, but was choked off by a coughing fit. "What do you want?" He choked out.
"I was......." His words cut off as the ninety pound Skyuka slammed into him.
Skyuka bristled, her head low, her body guarding Aki. Her eyes burned with rage, her white fangs gleamed in the broken sun.
"Stay away fomfrom my Alpha!" She snarled.
the male wolf was thrown back, his body slamming the ground, a cut on his shoulder oozed blood. He leapt to his feet, a low growl rumbling in his chest, he took a deep breath and calmed himself.
"I'm not here to hurt you or anyone." He whispered. "We are looking for a home." His voice was tired and low. "We have been loners for so long, we were hoping to join a small pack." His words pleading.
Aki looked at the old male. "We?" He said, suspiciously.
"Yes, my sister and I." He whispered.
"An where is your sister.?" Skyuka growled.
"I'm here." A small voice barkeD.
out from the shadows stepped a young pale gray wolf, her frame was sunken from lack of food, her eyes dull, her coat stained with mud.
Skyuka's eyes softened at the sight of the pitiful she-wolf. She looked to Aki.
Aki looked at the two wolves, then nodded.
Skyuka turned to them. "Help me get him back to the dens." She commanded quietly.
"Sure." The two wolves chimed in unison.
they slowly gathered Aki onto their backs, and began a slow walk to the cave.
"Who are ya'll any way?" Aki asked, wincing with each step.
"I am Koga.'' the male said. ''i am 6 years old and have been aloner for most of my life." he paused and added ''i'm a fairly good hunter."
the little she-wolf timidly said. "I am Rain." she smiled shyly. "I'm 3 years old, his little sister," she swung her head towards Koga. "i only became a loner when our parents died." her voice filled with sadness.
"well Wecome to the pack, sort of....." he paused. "My mate, Eclipse, will have final say." he whimpered as the paddded up a hill. "I'm aki.' he said proudly. "i am alpha."
"and...and I'm Skyuka." she whispered, out of breath. "sorry for the bite." she looked at Koga.
"eclipse is My mate," Aki's words came across possivive. "and we have two young pups. Nighta and Luna." he paused, suddenly wondering if brining two new wolves in was a good idea.
They reached the hill top, at the entrance of the cave. Aki slowly limped towards the deN. "Eclipse?" He called.
"AKI!" She barked, elated that her mate was okay. "O Aki." She nNuzzled her nose into the fur of his neck, inhaling his scent. "wh......" she noticed the two new wolves. Her instinct over rode her compassion and she charged forward, a fierce snarl ripping from her mouth........
