The imprinting window on duckies is pretty young. Your anti-social boy must've been raised by his biological mother :p
 
Unfortunately Roscoe and I have it reached the level of bliss that you and Ted enjoy. We are more of a Tom and Jerry cartoon.
Now that I'm done with his foot though he's back to his normal level of standoffishness with me.

I guess he doesn't hold a grudge.

if I have to pick up one of my ducks they quack for a bit and try to squirm, but once I start talking to them they calm down and listen to all the awesome things I say, (I am fascinating you know i just have to remind my ducks of that lol)
They will stare at me, like wow she is interesting. I make sure I don't hold them long only because I don't want them to think they can't trust me.

I've had him since he was a couple days old, I think he's just overly cautious. He's got a little braver, but if he doesn't have to walk by me he won't.''
I think since it was a few days before I actually got him he imprinted on Pippa since they have been together since day one.
