MAD SKILLS is right!!!! Great posts!!!Oh Patricia. I laid out fly paper one evening, just long enough to do chores, because I *thought* the pigs might try to eat the paper. I come back after less than an hour expecting to pick it up...and its GONE. I desperately search for it...and hiding like she can do no wrong, Pat has it rolled up under her wing like she was stealing an egg for her clutch. Patricia tried to have a free fly snack, I believe. Instead she got a free dye job. Red is not her color.

*we usually only use fly paper up high, or inside our garage. I know better than this, I was just a little desperate for some fly relief that night. Usually we use non toxic bait, and a fly swatter.

Definitely tough chicken! WOW! Amazed she didnt get killed or try to escape.I thought a hawk got her, as I looked EVERYWHERE for her that evening after my friend left. My daughter and I were both so upset that we lost our favorite hen. The next morning my friend sent me a picture of her and said - do you recognize this chicken??? She had left my house and driven almost 100 miles on the interstate (70 MPH and up), she had also gone to the pharmacy and walmart! She kept hearing some noises and thought something was wrong with her jeep and was planning to take it to the mechanic the next day, when she went out to leave, my chicken hopped out from the wheel like nothing had happened.
Oh, a nice rooster. How old is Rusty? At least you can laugh about it.I hope they didn't smell too bad. Interesting, I have never had a chicken do that, goats yes, but not chickens. Bad chickens! I hope you are able to get the new coop finish and they start to roost properly then.
Pretty big wattles too Oh great, Building code inspectors.
Thanks!!! Its5just becime kind of habit to put the roost bars back up every evening and when i do they roost fine but yes, will be nice to have the new coop done where i dont have to do that!! They will love the extra space tooI've had my share of chicken and fly paper experiences, no red clay dust bath though.Hello, I hope all is well and you are enjoying summer!
Wow, tough chicken indeed! Too bad she didn't stay hidden until the mechanic took a look. lol
It was enough that she scared my friend! LOL! Imagine her surprise when a hen came flying out from under there. LOL!
True enough, probably about the last thing she expected. I'm glad the hen was ok. Oh, he's bad!
LOL glad they aren't hyper! I used to want one, and still do, but my dad had said they are crazy hyper, more crazy than our old Lab! Doesn't appear that's true lol awwww these photos are just too precious!!
oh no!!! poor guy!!!!
