Too funny. Love the sign! One of my hens will screech like a pterodactyl at us when she's laying an egg if we come too close. She even kind of looks like one (she'll give the side way glare too). This sign would be perfect!

Thankfully mine don't attack but one gave me the stink eye once and one gave me the embarrassed look when i opened the coop door and looked in on them laying. Especially since i had my phone and was photographing them LOL

I purchased a small kit coop as a brooder/hospital coop and at the time they had a special offer of a free sign .. I thought 'Beware of Broody' would be perfect

That is Blondie and she is a Pekin [or Bantam Cochin, depending on from where you hail]..she is a mean broody! But an absolute sweetheart when not broody.

Yep, they are her 'babies' .. As we do not have a rooster, when she went broody we purchased some fertile Silkie eggs for her .. she is a great mumma but has issues with cutting the cord

That is so adorable! We have a wonderful bantam who loves being a mother but only looks after her chicks for 5 weeks (exactly) then she's had enough and is ready to get back to laying a week later. Maybe I should give her a shaming on here!

My sister and I had mom convinced we were both roosters, until I got hurt and got to be a house chicken, and I woke mom up by crowing after I laid an egg. (Scared the crap out of me too, sudden noise at 3 am...)

They both feel the need to crow like a rooster to let the whole world know they've laid an egg...
