i think both would be good, how cold and how hot does it get there?

HI, just got back for a minute, Iowa can go to 20 below or as high as 100. Not near as bad as the north, but the cattle would need to be hardy. I really think the galloways are cute! My problem is that we plan on raising for meat, so hubby will have to take care of them or I won't be able to eat them! We only have 5 acres, with one horse and chickens so the land won't support more than one or two. Thanks for the input!

i really think that the galloways are good, but, for meat, if you can do this at good timing, Jersey and any other kind of cow, are delicious! maybe getting them in the spring, then taking them to a processor at the time it starts to get cold, then that might be good. but i would do the galloways, i really would
