The Old Folks Home

I tried to get my son to go but he had to work.... Was already doing baby steps even with the gold fish in a jar tied around my neck...:lau Talking to someone to distract me planning on sitting on my walker seat once I got it out of the car... Taking short stops on the way in to sit and look around.... but I got derailed at the walker. It was covered with forty pounds of dogfood. son didn't unload his dogs food...

mad... Anxious and wobbly is not a good combination.... Got back in the car and left.

You'll get there! I just know it. :hugs

Well its blue right? Can a wild bird get in there...?
Don't know about in there but a few months ago I found a bluish egg in the pond. My chickens don't lay in the water, nor near it, they all lay in the barn. It was bigger than the eggs my girls lay. Wondering if a migrating Mallard had laid it on the edge and it rolled in.

My issues with ER and Hospitals and clinics go way back and why I stopped seeing doctors in general. So I am guessing this is a culmination of a lot of things I am going to have to peel back layers to find a root cause ....

Not necessarily! There are some great and rather simple treatments for panic that don’t require any peeling back. Some people feel it’s necessary to dig through the past, but others just want the symptoms to go away. Cognitive-behavioral, and sometimes EMDR or hypnosis can work. (I would only go to a licensed mental health provider for hypnosis, though, not someone just trained in hypnosis, when there’s a history of trauma or complications beyond panic attacks.)

@microchick - you have great courage! Your attitude toward this will see you through. But - why wait for the docs to tell you you can’t carry wood, build a brick path, etc. when your body has already told you?

I understand wanting to do it. I like doing physical work myself. But that spine! Be kind to it!

I like that answer... I like it a lot.... Though I do know some of it. Why I know some of the coping tools.

I will talk to my Psychologist. though she is a Clinical social worker... She and I laugh alot and that has helped me more than I ever thought could.

My son Goes to Phsychologist interns at Alliant College.... They may have a resouce...

Many of us live with what has happened to our bodies we did not plan on nor plan for
but will continue to grit our teeth and fight our way through living what life there is making the most of our accomplishments
so true.... Someone asked somewhere if you had a chance to change anything would you have gone back in time?

Hard question to answer because we didn't pick our family... And they did their best.
