The Old Folks Home

Congratulations @dsqard on the new furry child. She's gorgeous! I'm guessing Border Collie?

I agree, you have been busy! I have a box of water colors with my other art supplies, just waiting for me to crack them open and get busy. I haven't done water colors in about gee....30 years?

@penny1960 It's not too bad around us. Just muddy mucky oozy.....we were pretty dry so the ground just soaked up most of it. We walked down to a stream back in the timber that we have been working on, piling deadfall and brush into the ravines trying to slow down erosion. There was no water running where we looked. Mostly just mushy sand so the three+ inches we had was just soaked up like water into a dry sponge.

We had the 5 heathens in for around two hours this afternoon. The more they are in the better they behave although they mostly act like a group of two year olds that are sitting around a table with the good china in front of them, you know 'stop it' 'put that down' 'no don't eat that' 'get off the table' 'quit biting your brother'! I think you are getting the picture. It's pretty funny really. Nobody can say we don't get our exercise with them around.

Cute pup there post better body photos when your able ds has that border type face a aussie should have bit broader muzzle

I think she said he’s a mini one so maybe they have smaller muzzles than normal aussies?

3.5 inches of rain later....the sun popped through! Cool and soggy but other wise fine here in Northeastern MO. It was so funny. I ran out in a lull in the rain this morning to let the chickens out and had to laugh. I opened the pop door, they stuck their little feathered necks out, looked around and said 'no way we're going out there'. Can't blame them It was pretty flooded out there.

@CapricornFarm, I love the little coat she is wearing. So danged cute!
I actually bought that coat some time ago planning to use it on baby goats! It even has reflective stripes on it. She is not used to being out all night when it's chilly, so I was glad I brought it along.

Micro he is a mini Aussie. He is a bi black so yes he does look a lot like a border collie but no tail and a bit stockier build. He is our fourth Aussie. You should get the paints out. It's as therapeutic to paint as it is to sew or any other craft for me. I'm really enjoying it
I am another one that has paints sitting around waiting to be used! We need a class to make us go.

Funny... my lows are like yours...

But being where I am... no temp swings .. so highs are 40s maybe might 50s if I am lucky.
83 and sunny here today .
Actually forecasted for 40-50s nights for the next week but we had awhile of mid 30s. No frost here yet at our house but some have. Couple nights I left the window open next to my bed and woke up freezing but too tired to get up and shut it lol.
