The Old Folks Home

First try at Tarter sauce took a recipe off the web but added Cloves and dill pickle with the sweet pickle.. First taste got thumbs up here

Tartar Sauce

1/4 cup pickles dill and sweet
4 Tbsp yellow Mustard
4 Tbsp Dijon
3 Tbsp Honey
1 cup Mayo
3 Tbsp Dill
2 Tsp ground Cloves

Make at least 3 hours before serving.

Awesome... we like a Tart Tarter sauce.... LOL

I use:
  • Mayo *
  • Onion diced
  • Dill pickle Diced Or dill Relish
  • A bit of Lemon juice after mixing
  • Just to loosen it up a tad. If it needs it.
  • Sweet Paprika**
* Best Foods Real Mayonnaise Is West Coast, Real Mayonnaise by Helmands East coast.
**Once the consistency is right I mix in enough in to make it have polka dots.... LOL
Amounts depend on how much you wanna make. I make a half Cup for just me. But if I am having guests I make a boat load. Probably three cups. Depending on if they are lumber jacks or just family.... :gig

By the way this is similar to the mixture I use to make potato salad... Onions pickles and mayo.... Not as tart but I use the dill pickle juice in the potatoes... I didn't used to keep Dill seasoning in the cupboard... I do now. But if your using pickles might as well you paid for that pickle juice might as well use it.

By the way that juice can be used for alot of things use your imagination... Pour a little in the egg salad. Might be better to put it in a spray bottle for that. Add it to the water when you poach fish.. And some dill if you have it. Fish Loves dill... makes it shine.

Speaking of people that have disappeared... has anyone seen @trumpeting_angel around lately? Haven’t seen her around much since the update..
No, I've been wondering about her too. I only know that she lives off Exit 8 on I/91. Can't exactly go on a rescue mission with that info.

Thankfully I have owned my email for 35 years had it since Excite had email in the 70's
That would be difficult!! ;)
"Excite also operates an e-mail service, although it is no longer open for new customers. The original Excite company was founded in 1994 and went public two years later. ... Excite's portal and services were acquired by iWon.com and then by Ask Jeeves, but the website went into a steep decline in popularity afterwards."

I'm alive and Wisher is alive. Wisher just went to apa show and is preparing for baby goats.
I'm working on a baby goat quilt where they're in pajamas. Then I should head back to work on my last memorial quilt for latestarter. It's been so hard for me to want to work on that. All the rows are done I just need to sash and border them but I've had such a mental block on that quilt it isn't funny.

Some members did not know their password to BYC so either had to make a new account or try password recovery. Password recovery can be a problem if the email account on record is closed

Oh no! Hope everybody can get back in her account.

Yeah definitely kind of difficult! Although I suppose you could stand on the highway with a sign. ;)

“Trumpeting Angel are you okay?” Or a phone number :lau

I used to have Netzero account for mail. Dial-up. Back when I lived at the house. I closed it when i moved into town. so now I am on Gmail. Gmail is the email software that I had at Qualcomm it was called Eudora. Qualcomm sold that business unit to Gmail.

What I love about it is you can make it stand alone or access the website. Installed on your computer you have control of emails and archive them for later reference. If the internet goes down you can Still access your data. Its going to be helpful when I move my Jewelry business on line.

I don't think I'd like to stand out there with my phone number on a sign! I'd probably get arrested for soliciting or something.

I suppose I could drive my butt all the way down to Killington (the ski area not generically the town) and hold up that first sign. Of course I have no idea which lifts she uses or which days she would be skiing so I could be out there for weeks before I get lucky and she shows up wherever I'm standing.

I locked Tervbud as license for vehicles and emails 35 years ago still own all of it
I did close all but gmail though... Also have my English muffins on their second rise then into a hot cast iron skillet then hot oven for 12 minutes convection mode

Thank you. I noticed the date, after I posted, however, it's nice to know some are still around to respond. After several brain surgeries (and age related issues), I came to realize my get-up-and-go had got up and went. Now I'm trying my hand at chicken farming, ducks, etc. and electronics. It's quite an amazing journey, I must say. Again I thank you for the warm welcome. Have a wonderful day.
Welcome Jac!
