Since you said you didn't have much experience with chicks, here are some pictures to compare to yours.
On April 8 I bought 6 Golden Comet pullets (a "red sex link" that is easy to sex at hatch that will lay a brown egg) at Tractor Supply to put under a broody hen. Many pullets sold at "farm stores" are some type of black or red sex link since the hatchery can tell the sex at hatch and they will lay a lot of eggs at a relatively young age (5ish months).
The first picture was taken on April 24. They were a little over two weeks old.
The next two pictures were taken today, 3+ weeks old.
You will note that none of the combs on these are as pink as those on some of your chicks.
I've never had Golden Comets before so can't say if their plumage color is normal for this age or not. I hope this helps a bit.
