Thanks @ronott1. Will do. Baby is dried and almost fluffed. Pretty sure it is a pure bred EF. Just a tired baby from a rough hatching....I hope. It is moving around the incubator on occasions but just sags and goes back to sleep. If it can get the last of that egg yolk sack absorbed without a septic infection it will make it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I'm glad I caught the hen being nervous about this chick.She settled right down when I fetched it inside.
Just shows that you need to be able to 'read' your flock. The bantam hen, Cookie is just the picture of maternal bliss. I'll try to get a pic of her and her chicks before dark.
