That's one heck of a drop in temps.

We had 70's yesterday 28 tomorrow morning. I was upset I didn't have more seeds planted in the garden, now with the 2nd freeze I may have to replant some seeds.

The Calico Princess™ is a specialty hybrid created by a breeder in the Czech Republic. It is a cross between a Red Barred male and a Columbian female, making a color sex-able chick. They are great egg layers and do well in many different environments.

Seems like all breeds are crosses from other breeds. Hatcheries here have been provided parent stock to start with here.

Hybrids are not a breed since they do not breed true offspring that looks like the parent.

I bet they are very good chickens though!

I'm hoping so, says they are very docile, friendly and good egg layers. I'll keep them with the BO and the Cinnamon Queen. Hoping for at least 1 male out of the bunch.
