My son with Spina Bifida called me this morning. He was quite scared. Bleeding a lot, from what we thought was from his bladder. The home health nurse came by yesterday to put a foley in and then this morning..he's losing a lot of blood. Called the nurse. Told her how thick it was, mostly blood, and a lot of clots, not much urine. Sorry if this is yucky for some..but anyway, she suggested the hospital. We couldn't take him, because he felt too light headed and didn't want to sit up, and we can't lift that boy.
Called 911 and got an ambulance there. Hospital may keep him. There are two surgeries he needs. I hope they figure this out. They say the bleeding could be from his kidneys. What? We know he has a stone in the bladder that needs to come out. They put him on anti-biotics, and are watching for the bleeding to stop.

His white blood cells are up. His fever went up while there. His Blood Pressure down. :/ They better keep him.

Oh, Cyn, I'm so sorry you both are going through this. It is sometimes harder on the mom than the child. Praying for healing, rest, and peace of mind for you both.
