I didn't either until after we took an 8foot glass door out to replace the wheels!

Hey, @lovesfarms, how are things going?

His team of GI's are RGI and even though they aren't part of the hospital, they have team members present 24/7 and have admitting privileges (learned it yesterday) he came home with minimal bleeding and instructions to call them in case of emergency. He can be admitted bypassing the ER. I finally talked with RGI yesterday at discharge-also emailed his GI to get some answers and got an immediate response. The hospital and RGI don't have the same theory. Hospital says it's residual bleeding from the esophagus procedure a week ago.(I feel hospital resentment towards RGI, RGI did the procedure)
RGIs theory- no one has bleeding in 2 different sites at once, it simply doesn't happen. But for DH it DID happen. This has nothing to do with the esophagus. It's bright red and is a ruptured vessel at the ileostomy which is rich with vessels close to the skin. The hemorhaging he had when he came home from the flu (the hospital said was all skin breakdown) was from this vessel. I always wondered how he could have so many huge clots from the skin. Most of the time the bleeding stops on its own. If it doesn't, His own GI will do a scope To find it and seal it. He has an appointment with his GI on Monday and he also answers emails. They're 24/7 team is on alert in case he gets severe bleeding again. Meanwhile he's on iron pills and 4 ensures a day. His Gi doesn't like him in the hospital, obviously. I give him better nutrition. If he's missing food on his tray he doesn't get it- the kitchen is short staffed. He had 50% chance to hemorrhage again but we have explicit instructions how to go forward so I'm confidant! Thanks for every one's prayers and caring. The confusion from the Drs prove to be quite stressful
