The Old Folks Home

Good morning.

Still a great variety. I plant a couple of them every year.
I really need to start my own from seed could have more variety, only thing I don't on is tomatoes just want them guaranteed no doubts only plants I buy can't be without fresh tomatoes I just can't bring myself to eat any store bought one's I'd rather wait till next summer. Any store bought one's I've tried no matter how nice looking organic, hot house , etc always taste like watermelon rind to me :th

gonna be trying some fermented feed starting tommorow, morning only, may have hung over birds :gig
My birds liked it, I did save on feed they ate less did fine on it no probs. Don't bother anymore just not into the little extra work it takes lol.
Birds need less carried water in the winter of you have to do that also, carry wet moist food they require less water to also carry lol.

bruce, then I'll put a strip of duct tape from top to bottom on one side, and paint the outside white. When dry, I'll remove the tape. That should give me a view window to see how full they are, and if there's any algae inside. Once done, I intend to use them for water. At least one will go out by the coop(s). I can use the water from it, and add new as needed, so it gets fresh water on a steady basis. If anything happens to the pump, or things go awry during hurricane season, or whatever, that gives me 275 gallons of water for the chickens. I haven't decided on the other one. I'm thinking of putting it at the far end of the front porch, but it may end up out by the coop too.

Both Wegman's and Costco have been providing Heirloom tomatoes. Relatively firm when purchased, but ripen well on the window sill. They are my 'go to' when my own plants are not producing.

Where where I wanna see tooooooo!
Ok, here was the sunrise this morning in the desert of southeastern Arizona!
