Seriously, I lived vicariously through everyone else's hatches this spring and summer so I will anxiously await photos!

So very true. Sometimes I lose track of what day of the week it is and will ask DH. His reply always is.....'It's Saturday dear, you're retired. Every day is Saturday except for Sunday.'

I have 72 chickens chosen to take to the swap on Saturday. Big swap they hold twice a year.

When I was waiting to go pick up my chicks from the breeder, I lived vicariously through everyone's hatches too.

Last week, TSC had a trough of Black Australorp chicks for 25 cents apiece. Those are my faves as chicks... little fluffy penguins. One looked right at me and I had to walk away.

My neighbor came home with the whole bunch yesterday. (She does NOT need more! She doesn't have room for all her birds right now!) No, I won't go visit them. I feel badly for them. Maybe they're going to butcher some of the older ones...? Sigh.

How old are they?

Almost 4 years and 49,000 miles. Last inspection didn't hear that thay are almost ready for replacement and still have a couple months till the next inspection so didn't expect to hear that we shouldn't be driving without changing them.

how many of you still do your own pm's on you car/truck ? i changed my air filter today still looks brand new, but I did find the starting of a rodent nest in the filter box under the hood, shoulda took a picture, or check the filter more often
