The Old Folks Home

I agree @sourland and @cheepteach . I have had it up to my eyeballs with fear pron and people spouting crap about covid, or trying to shame those of us who have made a decision contrary to what they have. It's sickening to come to this forum, especially this thread and have to see it here too! The next time it starts in this thread I'll quit the forum.

"You know, now that I have the tractor, I'm not sure I really needed it". "It was awfully expensive just to fulfill something on my want list".
Well isn't that just dandy!! Now he NEEDS to go out and find work to do with that machine! Way back Tim just did stuff around his house and helped out neighbors with his 1025R. Later he branched out to paid work. Now that he is living on YouTube income his hobby turned side job has become his full time job.

Sure wish we had the polycarbonate sheet roof on the run right now. Pouring rain. Well, impetus to get them this weekend and get them installed, huh?

I'm going to just putter and/or sit and read BYC. Well, I'm doing one of those!
Same here...run is all soaked and there is no sign of letting up. All summer the run stayed dry.Hope the farmers market doesn't flood again. Don't think I have it in me to do all that work again.. And be closed tomorrow... And pay rent tomorrow!!

We've been more blessed with rain this past months time than all summer. Hard rain. We're still in trouble though if we don't get that snow this winter. Need it up in our mountains so it can move on down into our lakes and dams, which are very very low.
That is good news!

We are still hoping for rain here.

We started summer with drought. Enough that the weather people showed the dryness on the map and talked about it every time they "thought" we might get rain. We don't have a drought anymore, but this summer has only been "feast or famine" with rain.

I'm hoping for more snow this winter than last, and I don't really care for snow too much. The ground needs it, the water table needs it, and it'll give DH something to do with his snowplow Falcon we bought last winter. It's a plow and a "toy," so he wants to play with it. And he wants to go cross country skiing.

I mostly just hate driving in it. I need a good roads day to go to the chiropractor, and DH has volunteered to take me grocery shopping when the roads aren't great. (I'm gonna hold you to that, dear!)

We've had enough rain all summer that the runs were more of a swamp. Finally got a couple week's worth of dry which made me happy, then last week more rain, this week without. Am not going to cry though. My beloved Spain was hit badly in Granada, and well as so many other countries who have had roads, bridges, villages wiped out from massive flooding this year. Russia and China were not exempt either.
