was looking in the back of my neighbor work trailer yesterday, he does fencing has or had a boat load of stockade fence strips thinking hummmm maybe, if he has today may see if he wants to get rid of them, may be the start of a new coop

I'm waiting for the grass to dry. It's a gorgeous day, but a little chilly for Freya to lie around in the wet grass while I get stuff done outside.

Well, that's my reason for sitting here for a bit, anyway!

same here then do some mowing, clean out a couple of garden beds,

Yep, DH and I have to live to our mid 80s to see all the money come back to us a dribble at a time.

Hey, a nice little bit of extra non taxable income never hurts!

Already got mowing in for today, fed the chooks, said goodbye to two bantams that went to live at another farm, raked up downed grass/weeds cut and sun dried to reline nesting boxes. Filled the 55 gal drum with fresh water, and watered down a patch of the western flower/herb bed so pulling weeds is a tad easier this afternoon. I wait until fall leaves are gathering so I can add a layer after the weeds are pulled. Now it's time to sit back and relax until it cools off some.
Encountered a very young rat snake in the tool/storage shed while looking for something. Good, stay in there and hunt meeses if you like! If when he grows too big and wants eggs or... he better watch out! Momma has a shovel with a sharp edge on it.

I dug 2/3 of the potatoes. I can feel it in my back, so I'm calling that done for now. They can sit there for a few more days.

I also pulled up the last of the tomato plants in my sandy soil garden. Still some to pull in the heavy soil garden, but they can sit too.

Cuddle time with the ladies!! I don't know about the rest of you but my time spent with the ladies is therapy hour. And what a better way to interrupt you then a neighbor man taking pictures of you from different angles and threatening to report you to the boro! I take meds for anxiety and the therapists question is, what is your personal medicine? The chickens! But my personal medicine can't work when someone constantly threatens you. I try SO hard not to let it get to me. The neighbor says they have to be in a fence at all times. The codes enforcement officer said I'm allowed to have them in the yard without a fence as long as they stay there. I only have them out of their pen when I'm outside and they never go on his property. I have a nice big yard. I am going to fence in the whole yard with horse fence but it took the surveyors 4 months to come out and it will go 6 weeks till the fence is out up. The boro office said he will push my permit through fast but the boro office is closed till Monday. All other fence people said it will take till January to come out. I have up on chain link cause I think ordering that in is part of the hold up. She's still mowing on our property... Is the only access to their side and front yard. I finally made a police report this morning so I don't have to do up with his intimidation practices. Hopefully they will back off. What would you do???
