The Old Folks Home

Morning OF! Yesterday was partially sunny but no rain! YESSSSSSSSSS! Didn't get much done outside but it sure was nice to see the sun for a change. Now a week of dry weather ahead. Time to rake leaves as they dry out, and finish mowing the back yard before it gets too tall. Leaves for for flowers beds that have been weeded, and places I don't want washing out this winter. I use them on the dirt driveway too. I call it red neck paving. When I first got here the driveway was washing out, so all the smaller stones and old bricks I found and crushed were thrown into the bad spots, then covered with dirt from the culvert and topped with leaves. I haven't had a problem with washing out since, and there's grass growing there too. A good root system will hold the soil better than anything. Did the same for a bunch of places in the yard, sans crushed bricks and they have all grown grass and weeds now. Filling in a bit at a time until it's all level.
I got a surprise when I went out to feed last night. My little pullets that are pure Bielefelder and Bielefelder EE crosses are now 21 weeks old, and one of them left me an egg in the nesting box. One adorable little eggsie. They are all getting red combs but determining who dunnit is impossible unless I sit out there all day and watch. I did spot Turtle Dove in the little house checking things out a few days ago. She's really come into her own. Doesn't let the others pick on her any more either. Go girlie Go!
The Bielefelders are pretty birds. :) Mine were friendly too.

Okay, I hate to tell everyone this but I got the news in the ER.....I'm pregnant.

BWA HAHAHHAHHAHAHAHH..Yeah I'm bad. And no I'm not pregnant, thank GOD that delivery service went out of business in 2009.

Yesterday I had a horrible siege of bowel pain/cramps. 15 on the pain scale. When DH found me I was lying on the bathroom floor, vomiting onto paper towels. Sweating like a linebacker at the Rose Bowl. Barely able to respond to him, unable to get up because I was too dizzy. He wanted to call an ambulance. I said no, I knew what was coming next and sure enough within 15 minutes, the cramping died down and I was able to get up and worship the porcelain god. That lasted for about an hour....then I started passing blood. Yeah lots of blood. It eased off, I pushed fluids and ate light all day, Belt better when I went to bed then woke up at 3 this morning and it was worse than ever. My pulse was fast and thready, I hurt. I gave up at 4 and woke my wonderful husband up and said those two letters everyone likes to hear in the early hours of the morning. ER.

Off we went. Got there. Person across the hall has covid. I tighten my mask up and stare at the ceiling. They do a CT scan of my stomach, Lab work and IVs. News came back. Raging Colitis. Nothing else seen except surprise, you have three cysts on your kidneys. Okay, anything to be worried about? No. my white count was up though figuring in with the colitis. So he sent me home with a new prescription and said consider follow up in 6 months for another ct and oh, get a colonoscopy when this settles down.

I grumbled and promised I would. Even took the name of the GI guy he recommended. See, I'm serious guys.

So I'm home, a bit worse for the wear. As for the bleeding? Wear it out and let it go he told me. 🤬 🤬:rant

I'm going to have to go back and catch up but I read a few posts. You guys are the best. @csolis,@ lovesfarms, @penny1960, special hugs to you all. I'm going to finish my cup of coffee, take a pill and do a face plant on the sofa.
