The Old Folks Home

Thank you again, Drumstick Diva, for the additional information. He has been dreading this since our regular eye doctor first told him a couple of years ago that he had cataracts and would eventually need surgery. Stress was heightened today when he confirmed what it was going to cost out of pocket (we have insurance, and it's still going to be close to $5k - without insurance it would be $12,600 - if everything goes off without a hitch). I really expected him to be obsessing about it tonight, but he is remarkably relaxed and I think maybe relieved it's finally on the calendar and will soon be behind him.

Hope all those caught in the current wave of winter weather are warm and dry tonight. We enjoyed a windy but warm afternoon, such a relief to have warm and sunny weather. In a couple of months I'll be wishing for cool and cloudy, but today it was appreciated :)

Need an emoticon for WHEW! Great news, Cynthia! Hoping for more good news for your son.

Oh I know that oz..I didn't even think of it that way.

DH came home with good news. Dr. didn't even think they needed to taken off. He had a nice long name for the type of moles they were. No problem though. :)
Just the wait on our son's test. I think it will turn out as well as our daughters. :) Caught early.

That is good news!

I bit your Son's news will be good too!

Thank you everyone. I feel good about it turning out well.

getaclue..do you think that thing still works? I love old pieces of furniture or anything like that, even an old bator! I love older kitchen tables. And when it comes to older homes..oh boy.

I have no idea whether it works now, or not, but it didn't look overly complicated, so it just might. Maybe a lightbulb for heat, and a sponge holder for moisture? No one was allowed to touch it, so I couldn't open it to see what all was involved with incubating back then.
