The Old Folks Home

heyyyy now whatch them obit's, I check them every day just to make sure I ain't here, and him being there is possible was big ship
I've taken to the same practice as you and my grandmother. She always checked the obits first thing while drinking her coffee. She said as long as her name wasn't there she was in good shape.

My mom used to say the same thing. The day she died I checked the paper for her death notice and said, Hey Mom! You made the papers.

It's evening, @silverhair67? Dang! I've been awake since way before the time I'm used to getting up. I'll never catch up.
Only thing I ever heard about me being in the newspaper was my dad saying "No one ever took out an ad saying you were bright"

You knew a lot of guys on the ship, could be he was a friend or acquaintance of yours ... or in this case, not. At one point, the company I worked for had 8,000 people at the plant where I was. People would find out I worked there and ask "do you know". Um, usually not.

Was talking to my ground beef farmer's market friend last week, got to WWII. He knew someone who coincidentally came across his brother (the guy's brother, not my friend's) on the beach on D-Day. Somehow, and thankfully, they both managed to make it home safe.

Blue! Are you pregnant?

Sounds like something a preggers woman would ask for at two o'clock in the morning. Honey, I'm craving peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches :lau and please toss some pickles on it for me will you?
:lau It would take a miracle! No jelly on my PBnP, thanks!
