Wish I'd have a shicken to protect my chickens

Afternoon all.

Day before Thanksgiving=extra time in the kitchen. I have pumpkin draining. I didn't plant any this year but I had two volunteer plants come up and each had a pumpkin on it. One of the pumpkins rotted and the other has been sitting on the cupboard waiting for me to clean and nuke it. Half of it is done and waiting to be turned into filling for pie.

After that, sugar cookies then major kitchen clean up.

DH gave me an early Christmas gift! A new Jig Saw! Mine old one is on it's last legs so I was really grateful for a new one. I think for the average chicken owner, some things are as important as getting the right food for your flock and that's having tools to do coop building, remodeling and maintenance. Two power tools that are important? Table saw and Jig saw. Gots both now. Needs to build me something!

Talking to my neighbor this morning, one of her chickens hatched some little ones, said she heard this god-awful noise coming from the nest area, she went to check the ducks were attacking the chicks, had already killed one had another in its beak wow did not know that ducks were that mean

Dad allowed the fall ducks at a pond we had but they where wild he would not kill but to eat .. He was at Pearl Harbor with many like him they cleaned the after mess
