I have a few worse enemies I'd wish them off on but that's about it.

The ER said DH should get IV monthly to avoid some of the stones. About every other month.

What?? There has to be a different and better way. Have they told him what kind of stones? I think one should be able to reduce the likelihood of getting stones with diet.

He lived into his eighties, though his doctor warned him that his beloved coffee would kill him."

See??? It DID kill him, he COULD have lived into his 90's if he'd cut back on the coffee.

I got a notification from Fed EX this morning that their shipping hub in Memphis was damaged and they were warning about shipping delays.

Tornados in December. Wow. Is all I can say. My heart goes out to those people.

Big problem for FedEx if their main hub was hit. I hadn't heard the tornado had gone that far south. Really bad

And yeah, isn't it a tad late for tornadoes??

Did he have a desk set up in the loo where he probably spent most of his time?

Fed Ex has been delivering packages to our house

That would be UPS here. The guy has a light colored 4 door sedan and wears a big UPS vest.

Probably a good idea, people don't want to see strangers walking up to the house in the dark. And here dark is not much past 4 PM at the moment. BUT only another 11 days and we start getting more light OK, it is only an extra 3 seconds but it is a start!

It was 56 when I got up. Temp fell all day. The wind has died down a bit, but it took down some standing dead trees. They fell against another tree, topped it, and are on a power line. We're waiting for Consumers Energy to come out and fix the problem before the limbs catch fire. At least the wind is blowing away from the houses, and we had a soaking rain last night.

Everyone on the road has gotten their "ABC" fire extinguishers handy. The fire department is at least 10 min away.

We have the generator out, waiting for the power to go off when they get out here to fix the problem.

Came home from work to a cold house and lights are on, electric must work. Is it the hot water heater?.. Nope, that's working to. Then I realized the thermostat is set for about the same temp as outside--67°! The heat apparently didn't need to come on today!

I had one of those, gee it's good to be alive moment's tonight. I went out side earlier. It was pretty dark but there was still light in the sky to the west so I glanced over to see what colors Ma nature had painted for me to enjoy.

The ground is sloped upwards. There is the barn, then my chicken coop which sets on the top of the rise. Why the 14 Karat Moron set the house on the downward slope from the barn we have no idea but tonight I was glad he did. There standing on the top of the rise, just north of the coop about 75 feet were two big deer. Looked like does silhouetted against the last of the sunset . They stood there watching me and I stood watching them before I crept back inside hopefully without spooking them. The grass is a bit taller there so I hope they had a good feed.

I told my husband that you never have a camera or a rifle when you need one but tonight I wish I'd had a camera.

I am the last one to give advice on home remedies but here it goes anyway.
After DW had some stones crushed, the Urologist recomended drinking "Crystal Light" lemonaid. It was something he read in one of the medical journals so we tried it.
Ten years+ and no stones. Can't hurt.
(It also makes a quickie Margurieta with Costco tequlia. )

My hubby drinks lemonade too. He has sponge kidneys, so gets huge kidney stones.
