The Old Folks Home

Becky, i found out that the only known place on earth for crystal turquoise is about 20 miles from here, in an abandoned mine! Can hardly wait for some decent weather. Also dying to go look for amethyst in a nearby creek.
I'd give anything to be able to just get down to the creek here. I was reading that there are garnet as well as amethyst crystals to be found in the creek beds around where we live. I need to make a sifter. I may be lucky and find some geodes there also.

I have to look crystal turquoise. I'm more familiar with the regular mineral turquoise.

Good morning!! Had a fantastic time in Riverton yesterday. I think today we’re going to start taping off the kitchen and getting ready to paint it. He wants to paint it yellow. I don’t. But we already have a gallon and half of the yellow left from doing the guest room so guess what. Oh, well….I can live with it, I guess. The one bad thing about this house is the openness. Makes it hard to paint without either 1) painting everything the same color or 2) painting every space a different color and ending up living in a circus tent.

It's colder today then yesterday, no sun at all and they are busy Scratching and eating grass, no one legged stands. I also realized I haven't seen the hawks this week. Wonder if they have finally gone South and are giving the chickens some peace of mind. If I accurately interrupted the chickens calls yesterday when I opened them up because of the cold...I would think they were saying, 'we need to be heard.. Chicken lives matter!'
...I heard!
