Well Phooey! Kid stopped by with 3 more turkey eggs. Now I have 4 so I fired up the second incubuator.. Dad is a Narragansett/Eastern cross and mom is a Spanish Black.. Won't be hard to get rid of boy survivors around here... Approximate hatch date will be the 5th of March. There's a first time for everything.

Good luck, turkey eggs are hard to hatch.

Nope, this is the normal time of the year for turkeys to start laying. They can lay between a dozen to (one guy reported) 40 eggs.. Then they sit on the nest. No wonder thanksgivings happens when it does.. had to have enough mature turkeys to feed all them folk.

Bruce, you know the rules….clean ones in case of accident, another pair to change into afterwards!

Turkeys take longer to hatch than chickens. Maybe next year, lol
