I just witness and awesome display of hawk behavior. I had no idea hawks traveled in groups of more than 2. I was outside checking on the 2 birds free ranging...and the EE alerted. 4 hawks, swooping and calling....over our 1 acre and the neighbors few acres. Her birds were free ranging too, but they were staying low for a while.

I am guessing they were juvenile hawks from the same hatch, and hadn't found mates yet or territories. They were juvi Red Tailed hawks I believe. DH and I saw an adult on Saturday, about 5 miles from our home.

Here's awesome hawk behavior.

It's called a kettle of hawks.

This was above my house and it's a fall broad winged hawk migration.

Can you imagine how many chickens it would take to feed that group?

Wisher, Blondie has come to wish you a

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I'm afraid she wrecked her unicorn horn rubbing her face against the fence (it's Spring, so they are all starting to shed), but she can still do pretty well as every little girl's Dream Pony.

It would take all of my flock of 14 chickens ...and then some. I had to google the hawk thing.....I know less about hawks than chickens...and that ain't sayin' much
