The Old Folks Home

Good morning! Yesterday, I stepped on the scale and really didn't like what I saw. I am using that number as a reminder that I don't want ice cream. Or candy bars. Or second helpings.

Second cuppings of coffee? Still fine! Just with milk, though, no honey.

So here's another pot!
I‘m there with you! All those flavored creams for Thanksgiving and Christmas have taken a toll…back to black for me!
 
Hi old folk!

I'm holding at 121-122 right now. Let myself eat Christmas cookies for two days. And man did I eat Christmas cookies. Gained two and a half pound but have it back off for the most part. Back on my low sugar and twigs and grass diet. I'd like to be about 118 so walking every day weather permitting.

Plus my cholesterol levels dropped to a reading that is keeping me off meds. THAT is motivation!

Started at about 145 pounds this time last year so I'm proud of my accomplishment. The older you get the harder it gets.

Can I interest any of you in a nice, cool, tasteless bottle of water? I have one here. Mmmmm. Glug glug glug. There, didn't that hit the spot!?!

DH's knee bothers him when he doesn't drink enough water. I mentioned that I should drink more water too. So, it's on! He tries to drink 80-96 ounces (5-6 bottles) and I try to drink 80. We sort of egg each other on.
"What bottle are you on?"
"Three."
"Oh, yeah, well I'm on number four!"

Oh, this is RO water from our filter. Not a bazillion plastic bottles of purchased water.
