I'll bet, I just love the way the Irish talk! I have a cousin that is 30+ years older than me and she can recall my great grandparents talking with that braugh accent. My two horse vets are from Ireland-- men with pony tails. We laugh about sheep herding stories too. Complete with bending over and a ram smacking his uncle down the hill. lol I could listen to either of them all day. Love the braugh.
I rather enjoy staying home-- once a year my DH takes the kids camping and I get to stay home along for a while week, just me and the animals. Love it.
I have read some of the old stories of the folks coming to the US via Canada. My gr. gr. grandmother sewed all the family gold into her petticoat so that it would not be stolen if they got robbed on the trip. It was very heavy she said when she had to take it off to wash it. lol Can you imagine? lol
I never got any time alone at home when my kids were home. I'll bet you love having some time to yourself! I know I do now, but sometimes to much! hehehehe
