The Old Folks Home

I'm glad that we have an addition besides our living quarters. An extra multi purpose room with glass windows all round for sunshine. We can start garden plants out there and keep a kennel setup for injured or puny chicks or adult chickens. We have a young roo out there now. What we like the best is regardless of the weather we can get to it. It also has it's own separate heating and cooling system. Then there's more space with a small basement under it. One day I'll get brave and go in it and count the snakes once they get to cold to move.

Condolences. You gave her the very best years of her life.
Absolutely. Hugs for you.
Old folks if you haven't check your email for a notice from Social Security about the COLA coming in January. The word I got is to expect a 3.2% COLA increase.
I'll be eligible to get SS next February!:wee

I do not allow birds in house Old Folks.
That said I will bring the banty down to bathe them if they need it.
Maybe twice a year?
We have each of the 7 fancier silkies in about once a month to trim around their eyes. We found out that my husband's electric razor works better than scissors. If we don't, then we have accidents such as this one who walked into the garage for some reason, stepped in an oil pan for some reason, and then flopped around in the oil pan for some reason before hubby could grab her. Other than that, we might let them walk around in the kitchen for a few minutes, but that's about it.
