My job at the UC Davis is transitioning to the College from the Unit level this summer.

I need to decide if I will do that or retire.

An interesting observation: My chickens usually freak out when anything new is added to their coops. When we added another higher level to their roosts, they wouldn't even go near it for at least a week. They did NOT freak out over the heaters being hung over their roosts, even though they were not turned on, and emitting heat. Wow.

Yesterday evening, I burned the top of my fingers pretty good. I went to the doctor this morning, NOT because the burn was so bad, but because I need Silvadene, and it's prescription only. All that for a stupid burn cream.

I’m so sorry that happened! Burns are the worst imo! I hope your fingers heal quickly!

Does this mean the location of your job will change? I hate big changes like that! Retirement is a big change too! Good luck Ron!

Yes! As we get more information, it looks like It would be more of a supervision change and I would stay in my current office.

I will likely stay another year now.
