Good morning Old Folks. Always had a microwave that vented the stove.
That recently died the microwave did.
Now the debate is ? We bought a counter microwave for now.

When I bought this house the microwave was so low over the stove that I couldn't do any canning. Even some of my pots were too tall.

I yanked it, and I really haven't missed it that much.

This was not to a problem just not great.
I have a huge kitchen with solid wood cabinets.
Need to be stripped or painted.

Nope. Just yanked it. There's a vent on the outside wall, I suppose I could put a fan in there if I wanted to.

We have never had a microwave in this house. After 29 years, I don't think we'll ever get one.

I like having one I have never done more than a vegetable steamed in it.
Or melt butter.

I use my microwave to reheat my coffee.

Very handy for that.

Also, at times to reheat dinner.
