The Old Folks Home

How about CBD? I tried that once, and never again unless I vape a few of it right before bed. That stuff is weirdly relaxing.
A doc in TN told me to try it but it had no effect. I only had a small amount of a lower strength sample though. I may resort to some if it doesn't conflict with a couple of meds I'm on for pain.

I'm going back to see if my pillow will take me back. Ma's still sewing so I won't be bothering her while I toss and turn. Going to take one last look at the incubator and make sure it is in good shape. Tomorrow I set the generator up. Yeah. Several nights of the big one coming in from the north has our temps down in the lower 20's soon. Some of the pines get knock down over power lines I had best be prepared.

Hubby went along all the trails through the woods after the big blow we had yesterday. One pine tree leaning on another tree and partly on the fence. Sigh.
The exercise bike is now assembled and in the space where our Xmas tree was. Hubby rode 2 miles on it today.
Past time for me to go out into the studio.

Morning. I told hubby we need to dump whatever gas is in the gas can into the generator, then go to town and refill the gas can. I will be AMAZED if we don't lose power with the next storm, if it's as big as they are forecasting. 10-14 inches of snow, and 20-45 mph winds. Not really windy, compared to what some are dealing with, but 10-14 of snow can turn into 3 foot drifts in a couple hours.

I'm anticipating we will be snowed in. If not, fantastic.

 :hugs

Being snowed in is not new. We have a generator, so we have power. We don't run it 24 hours, just a few hours at a time to keep the fridge and freezer going, and to have running water and cook on the stove. The wood stove will keep the main part of the house warm; I'll put a load in the washer on straight hot water to run hot water through the pipes.

Been there and done that and it's not very likely to happen again. If we get snowed in here less than a hundred miles north of a sunny Gulf of Mexico beach we are going to have bigger problems. My chickens will have no clue what is going on and want to move in with me.
