The Old Folks Home

I would like to live in zone 7 for the growing season. Hubby would move to Alaska. Here in Michigan might be as close to a compromise as we can get! And, we have our little slice of heaven here, so we're not going anywhere else. I'm not, anyway. Hubby wants to go to Alaska, he can go by himself. I'd be stark raving mad the first winter, with the cold and so little daylight.
Woodland is zone 9b

What zone is Woodland CA in?

Zone 9b

USDA Zones

Davis, Woodland, and Sacramento are all in USDA Zone 9b: average winter lows 25 — 30F, a zone we share with Brownsville, TX, Tucson, AZ, and Fort Pierce, FL (inland, west of Orlando).

Zone 5B here. I bought potato bags. Gonna try growing me some spuds in grow bags this year. Hoping El Nino hangs around through spring.

Heat wave here. It's 24 degrees outside. And sun! It's supposed to break on Saturday/Sunday with temps up in the high 30s/low 40s. I can hardly wait. Now the thaw begins and things get sloppy, especially with something like three days of rain starting on Sunday.

ronott1, Fort Pierce, Fl is on the Atlantic coast of Florida, east of Orlando. It has the National Navy SEAL museum and some really good fishing.
Since it is in the same climate zone, I would be right at home there!

I sounds like a nice place. I do enjoy fishing and have never fished in the ocean.
