We have had the heat off here since Monday! We could get another freeze tonight. Looking like a heavy frost for sure. I'm glad I have tomato, pepper, and eggplant plants bought and ready to plant when the coast is clear.
how to videos are a big help! The high today will be 83, no rain, a little breeze, but no wind. It's a beautiful day out. Dh set up his outdoor sound system, and will spend lots of time outside on the patio, listening to his music.
He's been busy the past 3 days. One of the tiles in the walk-in shower, in the main bathroom, had come loose. It angled outward slightly, so water was getting behind the wall. There's a rubber molded form between the shower, and the wall, and flooring, so no structural damage. He cut out the tiles, and old backer board, then replaced the backer board, cleaned the tiles, and replaced them, then caulked a seam where the floor, and wall meet. He did a great job.
He had never done anything like that before, so was a bit hesitant, but watched several videos. I assured him my ex sister-in-law had totally redone her walk in shower, years ago, simply by watching videos at Home Depot. She's not a rocked scientist, and if she was able to learn to do it, so could he. Once he watched the videos, got the supplies he needed, and got started, he gained confidence. Again, he did a super nice job. It saved us a lot of money by him doing it. The only problem was the bending to do the part closest to the floor. He got stiff, and his back was sore at first, but a good night's sleep in his bed, fixed that too.
Tomorrow, the kids will be able to use their shower again.
Like I said, my ex sister-in-law wasn't the brightest crayon in the box, so if she could learn to do it from the videos, and do a nice job, he certainly could.
I just took a shower. My hair is starting to fall out in clumps. Oh joy!
