I use coffee grounds even on the little peeps.
No bad smell. Plastic tubs are my brooders.
Tallest ones work well.

I made a brooder box out of plywood with 1x12" board sides. Put it upon a banquet table with bird netting over the top of an A frame open top. 8' long and only 23" wide. I can reach in and easily catch one that might seem ill. As much coffee as gets brewed here we out to be using grounds in ours even if it is in the sunroom addition.

They are from a drink stand we stop at no grounds like super grounds.

I'll have my wife the coffee drinker investigate this farther. Sounds interesting.

They shops have to pay for it to be picked up.
A few of us get them taking turns.
