Wife's computer didn't boot last night after Windows did an update. The update destroyed her password.

Reset using your Microsoft account

1. Go to the Windows login screen
2. Select I forgot my password
3. Enter your Microsoft account email address
4. Choose how you want to receive your verification code
5. Enter the code in the appropriate field
6. • Create a new password
   • Click Sign in

Didn't like that password. Didn't like her email. Wife meticulously writes all this stuff down. Updated and lost nothing. I think Windows is discriminating.
