The Old Folks Home

I'm so ready to call it a day. Half an hour to go until the chickens go to roost and I can close up the coop.

I had a productive afternoon in the garden, so I feel like I earned my rest today.
Yes! A day in the garden is very restorative! (As long as you remember to take some pain meds :lau )

Good Morning Old Folks. Ma and #2 daughter planted the first 60 tomatoes yesterday and more tomatoes and pepper plants scheduled for today. I help with the ground cover some but they did the most of it. We did finish putting a new brooder together and within the hour a flock of mini chickens will occupy it. Just need to get some paper toweling down to put out some crumbles on to get them started then a feeder on each end of the 4'x8' structure. Most will get their beaks dipped in the water. Once they are oriented pine shaving will be added for their scratching pleasure.
