The Old Folks Home

I have the "fitness ring" thing on my phone. Apparently, skipping burns a lot more calories than walking... even when it's only 30 "steps" 2-3 times a day. I haven't been doing much more than I usually do, other than the skipping (to help strengthen bones, and to be silly), and yet I am getting atta boys and way to goes from this app. Well, good for me. Three years from now, we'll see if it has helped me to not lose any more mineral density.

My mom's mom had Parkinson's and was not very mobile. (This was back in the 70s.) She fell and broke her hip, and never walked again. This for a woman whose nick name was "Evie-Go Clark," because she was constantly doing things.

I am pulling that (sad) memory out of the vault to keep me inspired.
It does seem like the active ones get neurological diseases!

My Dad came down with MS in the late 1960s and he was very active.
