The Old Folks Home

SCG nice cemetery pictures. We went to the small cemetery in Stockton yesterday morning before the sun came up to try to catch "ghosts". No luck with the ghosts and the pictures were not very interesting. I think I need to go back during the day.
I would like to know what it is about Utah and me trying to hatch eggs. We went through all the winter storms, icy roads, heavy snows and yet did not lose power once (SCG not bragging here, I know you all had a horrible time this winter with the ice storms). Now that the weather is getting warmer and I have eggs due to hatch next weekend, we lose power last night for hours.

Not real worried about the eggs, pretty sure they will be fine after hearing so many stories of broodies getting off nests, eggs getting cold and then hatching just fine once the broodies got back on but it is aggravating. We had a little storm come through last night. Some wind, a little lightening, a little bit of rain and yet we lose power.

Oh well, rant is done now and the power is back on.
Getaclue, I apologize for not going back through the pages to find out what you needed surgery for (I have been away from the site for a bit) but I really do hope for a speedy recovery for you.

I remember you saying you lose power in the middle of nice days for no reason. Too funny. Our chicks are doing good, even the one that was dropped by the kids :) I'm too terrified to candle the turkey eggs in the coop. I think there's 6 total.

Mrs Oz and I are contemplating a road trip to far noth cal the week of the 21st

fancy a pub dinner?
Oh, you betcha!!

:weee

Maybe we could get Jason (Hangtown Farm) to join us. He is the closest active BYCer I know and we both have some of his hatching eggs. That's got to be an additional and excellent reason for an invitation.

Then there's Ron (ronott1) just a couple counties away, who has traveled to Hangtown Farm for an egg exchange, if I recall correctly.... Oh, my goodness, I could get carried away imagining who might be able to come and meet The Great and Terrible Oz himself!

Do you and Mrs. Oz need some recommendations for lodging in the area? Interested in B&Bs, or vacation cabins, by any chance? No local RV parks very close but if you are dealing with self-contained touring/sleeping, there is power and water available at my Thistle Dew Ranch site. Resident alarm clocks right handy, too. ;)

Now I am all a'twitter. Could be the massive amounts of breffus coffee, though.

I'm wishing Wisher and Pozees and anybody else from TOFH could join us, too. But especially Wisher, 'cause she's just so very special to us both. Not to diminish anybody else, but c'mon - Wisher is OUR Wisher, for all of us BYCers.
