The Old Folks Home

Thank you, They are stunning...Can't wait to be hatching them..
What do you mean by Red rooster?

A rooster that carries double red to breed to the SLW for sexlink chicks. SInce I don't have a SLW rooster. I just did a little research and found pic of high placing birds back in the 1940's from a little town near me. Makes me wonder if anyone is breeding SLW in my area. You have FoLey birds. How do the perform for you?

How did you decide on FOley's line? What are you expecting from these young birds?

Wellington WElls lived in a town just a few miles from here; I actually lived in that town for 7 years. APparently a good breeder back in the day and all his collection went to the USDA for archival purposes. WOuld love to read his journal starting in 1923.

For one, they are not far from me, maybe an hour and half drive, also they have really nice birds, he has shown his SLW and BLRW and gotten very good placings for many years.
Well known for the birds he has produced.. And I am not expecting them to be show quality or anything, but produce really nice Wyandottes and to allow me a chance to help improve, and preserve the breed to the standard..

Do you have any information on egg size and color and frequency of lay? Is that part of the FOely breeding program? THe lacing sure is nice in your web pictures-- are those FOley birds?
